using JabRef 1.3, a Java prog, to manage to entries. Seems good, but lacks online database search.

(Sorry about contacting you via comments -- your e-mail address isn't publically listed.)

I'm the volunteer in charge of maintaining the Contributors Area (http://www.livejournal.com/site/contributors.bml).

I notice that you listed a contribution where you said you want to participate in translating LiveJournal into Chinese. That's great! :) However, the Contributors Area isn't the place to ask about that. The C.A. is for acknowledging people who have already contributed to the website, not asking how to do it. So, I'm deleting your listing (sorry), but I can point you to the right area for asking about these things.

I'm not a member of the site-wide translation team myself, but I can tell you that, as of now, there is a group of people working on translating the website into Simplified Chinese (http://www.livejournal.com/userinfo.bml?user=lj_zhongwen). That team has completed about 25% of translation already, but I'm sure they'd appreciate another pair of helping hands. Try asking them about volunteering.

If Traditional Chinese is more your thing, you can get BradFitz's contact information from the LJ_Translate userinfo (http://www.livejournal.com/userinfo.bml?user=lj_translate) and contact him about setting a team up.

Thanks for your interest! :)
